By downloading, installing, or using Familiar, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Description of Service

Familiar is a tarot card reading app that provides card draws, spread layouts, AI-powered interpretations, and journaling features. The app is available on iOS.

Entertainment Disclaimer

Familiar is designed for entertainment, self-reflection, and personal exploration purposes only. Tarot readings and AI interpretations are not professional advice — medical, financial, legal, or otherwise. You should not make important life decisions based solely on readings from this app.

Accounts

You must sign in with Apple or Google to use Familiar. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. You may delete your account at any time from within the app.

In-App Purchases

Certain content, such as premium card decks, may be available as in-app purchases. All purchases are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's terms. Purchases are non-refundable except as required by applicable law or Apple's refund policies.

You may restore previously purchased content on any device signed into the same Apple ID.

AI Features

AI interpretations are generated by third-party language models via our servers. Responses are non-deterministic and may vary. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any AI-generated content.

User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or modify the app
• Use the app for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to access other users' data
• Interfere with the app's infrastructure or services

Intellectual Property

All content in Familiar — including card artwork, UI design, text, and code — is owned by us or licensed to us. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the app without written permission.

Limitation of Liability

Familiar is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to loss of data, interruption of service, or reliance on AI-generated content.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Familiar at any time, with or without cause. You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
